November Seasonal Recipe

We wish you and your family a bountiful Thanksgiving and a happy start to the holiday season.  Spread the holiday spirit by sharing this recipe with your friends and family. 

Pecan Pumpkin Pie

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbs. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups cooked pumpkin
1  14-oz. can condensed milk
1  9-inch unbaked pie shell
 
 
Combine eggs, sugars, flour, spices and salt.  Blend in pumpkin.  Gradually add milk; mix well.  Pour into 9-inch pie shell.  Bake in 450 degree F oven 10 minutes.  Reduce heat to 350 degree F and bake 40 to 50 minutes longer.  Sprinkle pecan mixture (below) over pie the last 10 minutes before removing from oven.
 
(Pecan Mixture)
2 Tbs. butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbs. grated orange rind
3/4 cup whole pecans
